The end of the year is always a time to sit down, look back and make plans for the upcoming seasons. What will 2020 look like? What have we done in 2019 that we will bring to the next year?
This attitude is the trademark of a company with over 50 years of history that combines the knowledge of the past to increase the performance of the future.
PSY Refit is thankful to all the Yacht Owners, Managers, Captains, crew that have entrusted Palumbo Superyachts Refit with the undertaking of anything from ordinary maintenance to significant Refit and Conversion Works.
As 2019 is coming to an end, the astonishing results in terms of refit projects completed and underway combined with new contacts for the upcoming year brighten the path that the Company will take in 2020.

PSY Ancona – The Rising Star of the Adriatic Sea
|
|
|
|
|
The huge complex of the PSY Ancona Refit Shipyard promises great achievements also in the upcoming 2020 for refit services to both afloat and ashore vessels.
The top on the marked refit sheds reserved to major paint jobs, conversions and indoor parking are almost full and new projects are about to begin.
The new syncrolift with a lifting capacity of over 3000 tons, the biggest in the Adriatic Sea and one of the largest in Med, has already received the first bookings for the upcoming year, after abundatly earning its keep in 2019.
PSY Ancona relies on being a historical Shipyard with a dual identity for new builds and refit / repair that increases the expertise and experience of its workers to guarantee a complete service on any need for integration, modification, repair and assistance.
Thanks to all these amazing facilities combined with the knowledge of the PSY Refit Team, the Shipyard is ready to welcome 16 new Refit Projects already booked for 2020, so stay tuned for a highly promising start of the New Year!

PSY Malta – The Beating Heart of the Mediterranean Sea

|
|
PSY Malta has everything you need in terms of Refit: professional workmanship, international attitude and top of the market facilities.
These features have allowed the Shipyard to become a reference point in the center of the Mediterranean Sea for yachts that need to undergo any kind of refit works while enjoying the endless crew amenities both inside the Shipyard and around the island.
The unique facilities comprising two graving dry-docks of which one fully covered, a floating dry-dock, a 410 ton travel lift and the ability to host the largest yachts ever built using the Palumbo Shipyard 360m drydock, allow PSY Malta to currently cater for projects of all sorts spanning from a 6-month refit on a 24m Yacht to the Refit of an 80m plus Lurssen belonging to an affectionate client.
The end of the 2019 season sees the shipyard involved in several refit projects using all the dry-dock slots available and going from antifouling works to blasting of underwater hull surfaces to the renewal of hull plates up to full paint jobs.
Our Team is proud to currently host three 80m plus yachts, testifying the well-deserved increasing popularity of PSY Malta as one of the few Shipyards in Mediterranean able to provide technical support to the largest superyachts afloat.

PSY Marseille – Heritage and History boosted by an International Management Team

|
|
What a busy winter season at the Palumbo Superyachts Marseille shipyard! Over 850 linear meters of yachts have entrusted our Palumbo shipyard in Marseille with their winter Refits.
The multifunctional PSY Shipyard of Marseille, with its 4 graving dry-docks, a 90m covered water shed, a 300m plus dock for afloat works and a new floating dry-dock have seen a constant turnover of yachts in need of all sorts of works perfectly performed by the international PSY Marseille Refit Management Team.
The spotlight has been placed on dry dock N°5 where several significant works are in progress for a full top coat finish on a 90m plus superyacht while, simultaneously, other operations are carried out on a 38m.
A truly great start of the 2019-2020 Refit Season with many interesting projects spanning from both affectionate clients to new ones that have resulted in all the dry dock slots to be currently booked up until April 2020.
PSY Marseille is proud to jump into 2020 by announcing the arrival of a floating dry-dock that will allow the Shipyard to increase its capacity and to perform ashore works under a covered shed.

PSY Naples – Where the past, the present and the future merge into the Superyacht Refit Business
|
|
|
|
|
PSY Naples is proud to welcome M/Y Commitment that has chosen to perform one of the most interesting refit projects of the current season at our Palumbo Shipyard.
One of the most visible projects to date is aboard 37m motor yacht Commitment and sees her length modified and stern extended by an additional 8 metres, bringing the new LOA to 45 metres.
But this refit, that will allow the installation of a beach club and a Jacuzzi, goes well beyond!
The width and length of her flybridge and light mast will also be extended and along with the engine room complete refurbishment, the shipyard will perform full re-installation of main engines, new generating sets, new electrical system and air conditioning system.
In addition, the job list involves the complete renewal of pipework, propeller shaft line and rudders repositioning, tender lift, navigation systems and the installation of new acoustic insulation.
Started in July 2019, this impressive refit project is due to be finished in May 2020, when the vessel will be delivered with her more modern look still paying homage to her original design.

PSY Savona – The New One to beat all expectations

|
The tradition of PSY Savona Shipyard, with over 100 years of history, could not be prouder than seeing the amount of refit projects performed by its team during this year.
The proven experience of the Palumbo Network combined with the highly skilled in-house departments managing the refit process on site have brought the shipyard to significantly increase the volume of its refit projects compared to the previous year, as well as foreseeing to handle even more projects next year.
Currently occupying the entire ashore area with superyachts up to 60m undertaking full paint jobs, special surveys, demanding mechanical works and teak repairs, the shipyard can successfully satisfy any need and request its clients may come up with.
The astonishing results reached in 2019 have been a good omen for the upcoming year that sees the shipyard fully booked up until April 2020, when new projects will come in and be taken care of by the renewed Palumbo Refit Management Team.
The 820t travel lift, the workers’ expertise and the strategically short geographical distance from the French border have allowed Palumbo Savona to grow into one of the main players along the Ligurian coast and the best is yet to come!
