REFIT SEASON 2019 – 2020: Discover Marseille

Palumbo Superyachts Marseille, a niche of quality repair works in the centre of the French Mediterranean Coast, is ready for the upcoming 2019/2020 Refit season strong of the results achieved in the semester coming close to its end.

Significant Refit Projects have been undertaken this year by the skilled Palumbo Marseille Management Team including, in particular, a three month Boadicea Refit.
With no doubt, the expectations for the upcoming season are high. The renewal process for Crew Facilities that has been successfully accomplished in Palumbo Malta and Palumbo Ancona, is now moving North towards Palumbo Marseille.

The PSY Marseille shipyard is therefore currently working on providing even more crew services to its clients including Electrical Bike and Kick Scooter rental as part of the Easy Move Marseille Project, Crew welcome packages and Crew events to discover the beauty of Marseille.
Mr. Giulio Maresca, General Manager for Palumbo Marseille, experienced Manager and Captain, strongly believes that “2019 has started in the best possible way, the shipyard was thriving with activity and the Palumbo Team was always on task to support every need of our Clients. The turnover so far has topped what already achieved in 2018 and we are positive on the results for the upcoming season as we have already received confirmations putting us in the positive situation of rapidly running out of drydock and mooring spots. PALUMBO SUPERYACHTS SAVONA – A strong change of pace

July is usually a month where the Refit business slows down to recover from the strong performance of the previous semester, but it’s not so at Palumbo Superyachts Savona. The Shipyard is proud to be assisting 5 yachts from 30 to 60m in their current rush to commencing the season with their owner’s.
So far, 40 yachts have been at the shipyard marking a significant improvement compared to the previous season and setting even higher goals for the upcoming 2019/2020 Refit Season.
Part of the Palumbo network and with over 50 years of experience, the shipyard is up to such challenges and ready to support the clients with the same professional attitude typical of the whole Palumbo enterprise.

Marzio Rucconi, General Sales Manager for Palumbo Superyacht Refits, was positively surprised about the season and comments this result saying: “When I first joined Palumbo Superyachts Refit and decided to use Savona as HQ Office I had been told that historically this shipyard has been performing well because of its strategic location at a short distance from Monaco and the French border. While working on the Renewal Process of the shipyard for the last 6 months I’ve learnt that there is much more to it and the first word that comes to mind is Teamwork. Our Palumbo workers, our contractors and the ideal location will be our mix for success also in the upcoming 2019/2020 Refit Season”.

FLEET SERVICES – One of a kind

Fleet Services is not just an idea but for Palumbo is a reality already set to works. Palumbo Superyachts comprises four brands ISA, Columbus, EXTRA and the recently acquired Mondomarine and creates yachts spanning from the 86 feet Extra to the 80m Columbus.
Managing After Sales services is one of the most complex and challenging tasks for any shipyard, no matter if referring to new Builds or Refits. Logistics and skilled labour working out of a home port are among the major challenges that Project Managers and After Sales Managers have to face while supporting clients.
