While in the Northern Hemisphere winter is setting in and the temperature is gradually dropping, here at Palumbo SY Refit, Malta the atmosphere is instead heating up as the demand for superyacht refit and repair services is on the constant increase.
Right now, we’ve just finished a 5-year survey on a 60-metre superyacht by Oceanco, we’re starting to erect a scaffold around a 98-metre superyacht in order to carry out a paint job, and we’ve assigned dock no.5 to superyacht Tranquility. During her 15-day dry-docking, we’ll be performing a number of activities mainly involving: technical services to the propulsion system, paint repairs to different spots of the superstructure and other areas around the boat, some hydraulic and pipe works, as well as some teak-plank replacing and marble works.
