Palumbo SY Refit Malta has the pleasure to announce the successful completion works on a 98m Abeking & Rasmussen superyacht. One of the largest yachts in the world when delivered in 2017, she’s still among the very few of her length with such a volume. This vessel has undergone painting of the hull and also her first five-year survey. The generous 17.24m beam allows for magnificently expansive spaces on board yet, as the Interior Designer Andrew Langton notes, the fact that scale sits fairly low down on the list of the yacht extraordinary features speaks to the imagination and ambition of this project…stemming from the Owner’s main brief of “building a big yacht around a paddle court” lying literally and metaphorically at the heart of this project. With a technical specification featuring extra watertight doors, armoured forward VIP cabins and wheelhouse, navigation controls also in the engine room for safe cruising in rough waters, supplementary electric motors, aft and forward stabilizers and so much more, certainly the survey hasn’t been without its challenges…this proves that there’s nothing Palumbo SY Refit Malta can’t handle.
